Introduction 

 

A new dawn crests for the city of Sundown. Once a sovereign freehold in the clawed clutches of vampires, the newly liberated frontier city now fights to establish order out of anarchy, justice out of corruption and to unravel the myriad of horrors left in the wake of their reign. Finally taking her place amongst the other cities of the Windsong Republic, Sundown continues to establish itself as a premiere trading city along the southern coast of the continent of Tal'rah and as a gateway to the lands of the East, where the ancient Shar'Vaire and Quar'Vess dwell.

 

Underneath this thriving and chaotic exterior remains a darker underbelly; a last bastion of the vampires that once controlled this city through blood, secrets and fear, along with other dubious criminal institutions that seek to plunge Sundown into darkness once more, even as it takes its first breath of clean air. This villainy and corruption is met head on by Sundown's sworn protectors, the Shadow Hunters.  It is to them the safety and law of the city rests as they struggle valiantly to establish order where none has existed for nearly two hundred years.

 

The Whispering Raven Tavern on Covington Street in the Wharf District is said to be a hub of activity in the city; the place where many of the heroes of the recent civil war dwell and where the very war itself was said to be planned. Come join these heroes, mercenaries, the ordinary folk of Sundown and travelers from beyond for a drink, the possibility of intrigue or the danger of spilt blood on any given night. No soul is innocent and no truth is sacred within the walls of The Whispering Raven.
